As America confronts systemic racism and people take to the streets to peacefully protest and demand justice, Devin Nunes is lumping protestors in with Antifa and ignoring the root causes of widespread civil unrest: structural inequality and racism.
Nunes’ private email to supporters:
“Many of the recent protests across our country have turned violent after being hijacked by ultra-radical organizations like Antifa. We cannot allow looting, violent riots, and lawlessness to continue without consequence, and I stand with President Trump in supporting the immediate restoration of law and order.”
Nunes is a disgrace. He has no care for addressing the inequity that plagues our society, just for “restoring law and order” by any means necessary. He’s let us down once again.
Someone this callous, inflammatory, and reckless cannot be allowed to continue occupying elected office -- we have to beat him at the ballot box this November.
