The White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Data on the gun violence epidemic. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ “zero-tolerance” policy to hold negligent firearm dealers accountable. And just this week, millions of dollars in grants to community organizations that work to prevent gun violence.

All that is gone at the federal level thanks to the Trump administration – even though firearms are a leading cause of death for kids in the U.S. It’s horrifying, and we can’t let it stand.

We’ve made real progress in Washington state, advocating for and passing legislation to keep firearms out of sensitive areas, holding gun dealers accountable, getting firearms out of the hands of dangerous individuals, and mandating firearm safety.

But even here, that progress is at risk, thanks to the gun lobby – which recently launched an initiative to roll back commonsense gun safety measures that make our communities safer. 

The Alliance is continuing the fight against gun violence, and we have the track record of success to prove what happens when we all work together. But right now, we need your help. Please, chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can today.
