Hey Congress: Hands off Medicaid!

My daughter is alive because of Medicaid.

She has sickle cell anemia. If her fever gets too high, it can be deadly. Medicaid is the reason she can see a doctor when she needs to and get the meds she needs to thrive. I could never afford these medical bills working in fast food alone.

But Medicaid is under attack RIGHT NOW by greedy millionaires and billionaires who want another tax cut and the politicians they keep in their pockets. Don't let them take our healthcare away. Send Congress a message: Hands off Medicaid!

You know someone who relies on Medicaid. One in five people in this country do. So let's talk about what we'd be trading away so people like Elon Musk and Donald Trump can get their taxes cut:

Seniors could be kicked out of care facilities. Dialysis patients could lose life-sustaining care. Kids with diabetes could see the cost of their insulin skyrocket. People living with disabilities could lose the care that allows them to live a life of dignity.

Let me be blunt: people will die, and it's because the wealthy just want more…more…more.

Stand with me and tell these lawmakers: hands off Medicaid! Please join me in telling Congress: if you come for the healthcare our families and our communities need, you will lose your job.  

Healthcare is a human right. Medicaid is how millions of us keep our families healthy and safe. We won't let them mess with it.
