John,

What happened yesterday in my home state of Georgia was absolute chaos, a total disgrace and voter suppression. Long lines. Hours of wait time. Broken voting machines and a pandemic that continues to hurt communities. It was just a glimpse into how marginalized and predominantly Black communities face suppression, and just how fragile our democracy still is.

In case you didn't know, the Elections Division of the Secretary of State’s Office -- an elected position -- organizes and oversees all election activity, including voter registration, municipal, state, county, and federal elections and it’s their responsibility that their citizens have fair and safe access to the polls. With more than 700,000 Georgians who were not eligible to vote in 2018 now registered, we have a lot of work to do to make sure every voice is heard.

When We All Vote is focused on fighting for safe and fair elections, but it takes resources and your help. Will you pitch in a contribution today to power our work through tomorrow and beyond?

In Georgia alone, we have witnessed the slow dismantling of voting rights with numerous polling places closed and hundreds of thousands of voters purged from the system. That’s hundreds of thousands of people without the ability to make their voices and values heard.

And in Nevada and South Carolina yesterday, voters stood in line for hours in the sweltering heat, and in some cases, voted well past midnight to exercise their right to vote.

That is why we strongly support expanding online voter registration, vote by mail, and early in-person voting -- our safe and fair voting practices. We need your help in spreading the word and your support to reach voters all over this nation.

Seeing how many people STILL voted in spite of everything brings me hope. And I hope it brings you hope too. We are in this together.

Thanks for all your support.

Stephanie
