Hi John- In less than 100 days, the Donald Trump administration has rolled back critical gun safety measures and ignored the public's call for an end to gun violence—all while protecting the gun lobby's interests. But no matter how aggressive this current administration becomes, Everytown, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action volunteers will continue to fight back. We're not going to be in a defensive crouch, we are playing offense, and our proven history of success will only continue. In 2018, we successfully stopped Concealed Carry Mandate in its tracks, and we're planning on doing it again in 2025. In 2022, our federal advocacy led to the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act—the first major gun safety law in nearly 30 years—which is in jeopardy of being repealed by Trump's Second Amendment Task Force. And in 2025, we've already secured victories across the country in places like Colorado, Michigan, and Hawai'i. Plus, we elected a Gun Sense Candidate to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, defeating the gun-lobby and Elon Musk backed extremist who opposes background checks that keep guns away from violent criminals and domestic abusers. None of these wins could have been possible without the support of our grassroots network of 11 million supporters.
