So far, dozens of U.S. citizens — including a ten-year-old Texas girl recovering from brain cancer — have been wrongly detained or threatened with deportation through President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. As Trump’s mass deportation effort expands, experts warn that more and more Americans will likely be swept up.

  • For now, the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security will not recommend that Trump invoke the Insurrection Act and deploy military forces on American soil to further crack down on immigration, CNN reports.

  • A judge blocked the Trump administration from gutting Voice of America, saying the attempt to dismantle the 80-year-old government-funded news service likely violated federal law.

  • Harvard University, represented by several high-profile conservative lawyers, sued Trump for violating the First Amendment and attempting to “coerce and control” the university by withholding over $2 billion in federal research funding.
