Our fundamental right to vote is being threatened by the coronavirus, and it's a threat that we should all take very seriously. No one should have to decide between having their voice heard in our democracy and their health -- or possibly their life.
As we saw during the Wisconsin Primary, voters were forced to choose between following guidance from health officials to stay home and avoid large gatherings or exercising their sacred right to vote. The result was chaos and a threat to our Democracy.
In order to ensure that every voice is heard in the November General Election, we must expand mail-in voting, absentee voting and other expanded voting options. We must pass a Universal Vote-by-Mail Option and ensure that in-person voting is safe, sanitary, and secure.
DEMAND CONGRESS PASS VOTE-BY-MAIL
With expectations that this pandemic will be with us well into the fall, we need to take action and protect ballot access for every American so everyone can have their voices heard. The best way to do that is to provide a safe, secure method of voting: namely, Vote-by-Mail. If you agree, please sign your name and urge Congress to pass a Universal Vote-by-Mail Option.
