Believe me when I say that my race is truly one of the few that control of the House majority depends upon.
That’s right – as one of only a couple of Democrats to flip a Republican-held seat blue back in November, I’m an obvious early target for the national GOP.
I’ve already fielded attacks from super PACs and the NRCC in recent weeks. If you were with us last cycle, you’ll remember that Republicans spent over
$15 million to desperately stop us from flipping this seat.
We prevailed, but that means the GOP is that much more motivated to spend big in our district to protect their grip on power. It’s only a matter of time before dark money from outside groups pours in again.
If we lose re-election and they add CA-27 back under their column, our chances of winning the majority and holding the Trump White House accountable are slim to none. That’s no exaggeration.
And this time around, I’m already in Congress working for you. I’m fighting day and night to protect the unprecedented attacks our democracy is facing – not worrying about rebuilding our campaign’s warchest to hold this seat.
