Donald Trump’s executive order ending federal workers’ collective bargaining rights is a direct attack on the people who keep our government running -- and the House must act immediately.

On March 27th, Trump signed an executive order stripping workers at over 30 federal agencies of their right to union representation. These include the Department of Veterans Affairs, the CDC, the FDA, the Office of Refugee Resettlement, and more -- agencies that millions of Americans rely on every day.

Legislation is needed to protect the stability, safety, and effectiveness of our public institutions. With tens of thousands of government workers already fired under the Trump administration, the remaining employees are more vulnerable than ever -- and without collective bargaining, they’ll be left defenseless.

Congress has a bipartisan solution: the Protect America’s Workforce Act. This urgently needed bill would nullify Trump’s executive order and restore critical protections for federal workers.

But here’s the problem: House leadership hasn’t brought it to the floor.

These workers can't wait. The longer the House fails to act, the more damage Trump and his billionaire allies like Elon Musk, can do to the agencies that serve veterans, monitor public health, protect children, and uphold the public good.

It’s time for the House to show its bipartisan support for our federal workers.

Federal workers can’t strike. They can’t bargain over wages or benefits. All they ask for is the right to speak up about workplace issues without fear -- and keep doing their jobs for the American people. That’s what this bill protects.

Inaction is not an option. Demand House leadership bring the Protect America’s Workforce Act to a vote immediately.
