Dear Fellow Patriot,

I’m reaching out to share a leftist activist’s reaction to one of our groundbreaking lawsuits because it perfectly highlights America First Legal’s unique blend of strategic vision and tactical effectiveness.

We’re running plays no one else is even thinking about.

In March, we sued the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), challenging its long-standing claim of FOIA exemption. Our lawsuit argues that GAO functions as an “executive agency” under 5 U.S.C. § 105 and is therefore part of the Executive Branch — subject to the Freedom of Information Act and, by implication, Presidential control. This is a highly technical administrative law case involving complex and arcane statutory interpretation. Let’s put it this way: you won’t see this on the evening news — at least, not yet.

But a “government secrecy” specialist with the leftist Freedom of the Press Foundation just admitted that the “ramifications should AFL succeed are massive and strategic” — and she’s right. If we win, this case will fundamentally reshape the landscape of government oversight and transparency. That’s exactly why far-left activists are terrified — and why liberal members of Congress are trying to stop us.

Even AFL’s opponents recognize that our forward-thinking legal strategy and unwavering defense of constitutional governance make our work not just innovative, but highly effective in advancing the America First agenda.

We’re moving the needle in ways other organizations can only dream of — and none of this would be possible without your tremendous generosity.

Thank you for your continued support.

In Liberty and for America First,
