Dear friend,
At Stand With Parkland, we know that preventing youth violence starts with open conversations, early intervention, and making sure families have the resources to navigate life’s hardest moments.
Ahead of National Youth Violence Prevention Week, we are recommitting to a mission that is deeply personal to all of us: keeping students safe. Not just from physical harm, but by supporting their mental and emotional well-being too.
We’re working every day to get life-saving resources into the hands of families, educators, and communities. Will you chip in today to help us reach even more people?

Mental health is a critical part of school safety. Whether a child is experiencing stress, grief, or some other form of trauma, early support can save lives. That’s why we’re spotlighting trusted resources you can share with the young people in your life:
- Columbia Protocol – Learn how to recognize when someone is at risk and take action. The Columbia Protocol (C-SSRS) helps everyday people identify warning signs and connect others to the help they need. Learn more on our resources page here.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – Call or text 988 for free, 24/7 support.
- National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) – nctsn.org offers trauma-informed resources for families and schools.
- Be SMART Campaign – besmartforkids.org links secure gun storage to youth suicide prevention.
These resources reflect what we at Stand With Parkland have long believed: that school safety is not just about policies, it’s about people, compassion, and proactive care.
This week, let’s honor our youth by making sure they have the support systems they deserve. And let’s keep pushing for a future where all families can feel confident that their children, when at school, are safe physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Thank you for standing with us.
