5,000 businesses in Santa Barbara County are going to get a fee increase for inspections (example given, restaurants, gas stations, auto repair) in May! The county is overcharging the business community by including, in their fee charges, the cost of vacation, sick, leave and holiday pay for county employees.  Furthermore, the county is charging permit holders the cost of enforcement against businesses with no permits! That would include the illegal taco stands popping up around the county that are not following any laws regarding public health. 

Why on earth would the county make the business community who are following the law pay for the cost of enforcement on those that have no permit?

Please contact county supervisors and tell them to stop the illegal overcharging.
