Dear John,

Tarps, string, rough-cut lumber — not the elaborate trappings of the modern
American church. But in a tiny town in Mozambique, still reeling from a
devastating cyclone, the Holy Spirit filled that humble space and turned tarps
and string into a picture of heaven on earth.

A cyclone destroyed their church building, but it couldn’t steal their song.
Watch the worship below and be encouraged — where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is FREEDOM, church building or not!

The continent of Africa and the African people are often overlooked by the
media and forgotten by the rest of the world — but they arebeloved in the
kingdom of God. The Lord is at work, and the Holy Spirit is stirring the hearts
of Africans.

Spending Holy Week in South Africa and Mozambique stirred my faith. My hope
and prayer is that the videos, social media posts, and emails we’ve shared have
encouraged you — and reminded you to pray for the forgotten people, becausethey
are not forgotten in the rolls of heaven.
