As we continue celebrating YOU this Global Volunteer Month, here’s an inspiring story of the impact you help make — it starts with a meal®, and it starts with you!
Join us on a journey to the Philippines to meet Ruby, a devoted mother and volunteer cook at Bungkol Elementary School. Ruby has volunteered for nearly four years, preparing Rise Against Hunger meals packaged by volunteers like you. The meals are provided to students through the school’s daily feeding program, ensuring children have access to nutrition and a quality education. Ruby shares the impact the meals have on the students:
Volunteers like Ruby — and like you — make this impact possible. Just last month, the Rotaract Club of Boone at Appalachian State University packaged over 20,000 meals for distribution in the Philippines. These meals, and the millions more we package each year, represent the hopes and dreams of people facing hunger.
This Global Volunteer Month, we invite you to take your impact to the next level.
P.S. We'd love to hear from you! Share your story with us on our social media channels to empower your own community to take action to end global hunger.
