Here's the thing...

We are not supposed to know what to do. We are living through the
unimaginable, navigating a fire hose of change at what feels like
an impossible pace. In the face of that which we cannot control,
many of us scramble for ground, cling to any semblance of
certainty and security, pretend we know what we're doing.

In Against Purity: Living Ethically in Compromised Times, author
Alexis Shotwell says "we don’t just have a knowledge problem—we
have a habit-of-being problem; the problem of whiteness is a
problem of what we expect, our ways of being, bodily-ness, and
how we understand ourselves as “placed” in time". Our attempts to
control that which cannot be controlled are not just impossible,
they are also inadequate in responding to the overwhelming and
complex issues we are facing. To bring about less suffering and
more thriving, we must accept complexity and imperfection as the
natural basis of our lives. We are imperfect, imprinted by an
unbearable past and unequal systems of power that are shaping our
present reality. It does not matter how direct or indirect our
engagement; we are embedded in it nonetheless (excerpt from
American Detox ( [link removed] )).

What if instead we gathered in not-knowing? What if instead of
seeking answers, we lived into the questions? What if we let
ourselves feel it all - the fear, the longing, the shame, the
courage, the joy? What if we met ourselves with tenderness
so that we could do that for others?

Surviving and thriving through these times isn't just about
hitting the streets and getting politically active. It's made
possible in all the ways we accompany one anther in the work of
unlearning all that we thought we knew so that we can
discover the creativity and possibility that is beyond our
wildest dreams.

This week's detox home retreat
( [link removed] ) is designed for just
that. It is a space for being with what is, unraveling the layers
of fear and shame, bearing witness to each other's humanity and
breaking through to new paths and possibilities. Join us!

DETOX Home Retreat ( [link removed] ) is a 7-day virtual container for radical self inquiry, dynamic
movement and meditation, nourishing recipes and rituals…all from
the comfort and convenience of your home. Together, we’ll unpack
and unlearn all that we’ve accumulated along the way: limiting
beliefs, habitual patterns, negative thoughts – so that we can
break down the barriers and breakthrough to freedom.

Each day you’ll receive a practice kit including
movement/meditation, journaling questions, transformational
tools, inspirational quotes, self care recipes and rituals. We'll
also meet up daily as a community in movement practice (7aPST)
and mutual support (2pPST) to support your journey and remind you
that you are not alone :)

We've been getting a handful of inquires asking what is in
store for this retreat... So here are a few frequently asked
questions:

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM AN "AWAY" RETREAT?

This "home retreat" is designed to be affordable, accessible and
transformative for anyone wishing to make a conscious transition
into the new year. Programming is designed to meet you where you
are and adjust to YOUR lifestyle. The purpose for this is so that
we can cultivate for ourselves a practice that can become
integrated into our everyday life.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

You decide! Every day you will receive a retreat "package" in
your inbox containing the following: 1) movement/meditation
practice 2) journaling assignment (morning pages) 3)
transformational tools that support your journey 4) self care
practice 5) live community call 6) inspiration. We'll also meet
up daily as a community in movement practice (7aPST) and mutual
support (2pPST) to support your journey and remind you that you
are not alone :)

WHAT WILL THE PRACTICE BE LIKE?

Practice is like preparation and priming for how we show up in
our lives. It builds a capacity to play big and be courageous in
the face of whatever life has to throw at us. All practices are
customized to support the energy and theme of each chakra to
support embodied inquiry, interrupt cycles and create new
practices and pathways of being. Daily practice will be taught by
Kerri and will be a combination of movement and meditation
(duration 45 minutes - 1 hour).

WHAT WILL I LEAVE WITH?

This retreat is designed to guide you through a holistic process
of detox and recovery. Together we will explore a systemic
framework for inside-out inquiry and transformation, breakthrough
tools, self-care rituals, community support, and inspiration. You
will leave clear, refreshed, inspired and ready to go.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I RESERVE?

While the schedule is flexible, we strongly recommend reserving a
morning session (1-2 hours) for practice and journaling and an
afternoon session (1-2 hours) for community connection and
coaching. We designed this program to have a "lite" framework to
encourage you to customize your own time to integrate this work.
Be kind and patient with yourself. And know that you are not
alone...we will be there to support you along the way.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE PROGRAM?

The "tools" we compliment our daily practice and theme. They are
intended to guide you through a journey from presence to
reconciliation to purpose to creation. Throughout the retreat,
you will develop more awareness about where you are out of
balance, what's in the way, and where you are going. Along the
way, we will build the creativity and capacity to dream big and
get creative with your life, and the commitment/accountability to
bring that vision to life.
