After years of unlawful wastewater pollution from two of Maryland’s largest treatment plants, our office has secured a $1.7 million green investment in 21 community-led environmental projects to help keep our communities safe and clean.

We’re already starting to see some incredible progress. Nitrogen pollution at the Back River treatment plant has decreased by more than 60%, and at the Patapsco treatment plant, it has decreased by over 78%.

This isn’t just about cleaning up the environment—it’s about securing environmental justice for every Maryland family.

Years of wastewater pollution have caused real harm to our communities, and this is a crucial next step in our efforts to repair and protect our neighborhoods. Together, we’re building a greener and healthier future where every Maryland family can thrive—but I need your help.
