All at risk.? ? ? ? ? NAME: Friend Friend
TRIPLE MATCH STATUS: [ACTIVE] | DONATE $5 NOW [link removed]
Friend ? in just the past few weeks, the Trump administration has announced some of the worst environmental attacks of his entire presidency.
Leases are about to go out for drilling in the Arctic Refuge. Uranium mining in the Grand Canyon is set for announcement. His Interior Department just gutted the Endangered Species Act.
We have one chance to stop him, friend ? but we need your help.
Congress is home for recess right now, but we've just got word that they're preparing for some major votes when they return ? including votes that could block some of the worst of Trump's attacks.
We need to move quickly ? while Members of Congress are still home meeting with constituents. We're mobilizing in districts across the country to swing as many votes as we can.
We're turning to our members to make this campaign possible. A donor has just agreed to triple match every contribution through the end of the month.
Please, please, please: pitch in if you can, whatever you can. This is a huge moment for the environment ? I hope we'll hear from you ? [link removed]
Here's what you need to know: The Trump administration just outlined new rules under the Endangered Species Act that would disallow federal agencies from factoring in the effects of climate change on wildlife when making decisions about endangered animals. At the same time, they're weakening protections for at-risk species, and building in loopholes for corporate polluters to avoid enforcement of the law.The Trump administration is also preparing to fast-track uranium mining operations around both Bears Ears and the Grand Canyon. They've classified uranium as a "critical mineral," which loosens permitting restrictions and public review over mining projects. We're expecting more announcements at any moment. We've just learned that the Trump administration is in the final stages to roll out leases to corporate polluters to begin drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. It could happen as soon as next month. Friend ? each of these attacks CAN be blocked by Congress ? and votes are already being lined up as soon as they're back from recess.
We have to swing as many votes our way as possible ? but to pull it off, we're turning to members like you. Every week, we're organizing calls, rallies, protests, demonstrations, and grassroots lobbying to beat back the worst of the Trump administration's attacks.
Thousands of people from all over the country are pitching in with $5, $10, $20 donations ? some becoming LCV members for the very first time, and many making monthly contributions to help fight back.
Please, please, please: Don't sit this one out.
We need to raise $250,000 by the end of August to keep our work going strong ? and if everyone reading this right now pitched in just $5, we'd blow through that goal in minutes.
We need your help, friend, and this is the moment when your gift makes the most difference. Will you make a triple-matched gift of $5 or more today? [link removed]
Thanks so much for everything that you do. We'll be in touch soon with more updates.
Sincerely,
