Families deserve better.

John,

A new budget proposal from the administration threatens to eliminate ALL federal funding for Head Start, a devastating move that would end early learning and child care support for nearly 800,000 children and families across the country.

This is part of a broader, dangerous plan that includes gutting Medicaid and other vital services families rely on to survive. We can’t afford to lose Head Start. For millions of family caregivers, it’s the bridge between surviving and thriving. Without it, parents would be forced to leave jobs, kids would lose access to early education and meals, and communities would face even more strain.

Congress needs to hear from you right now. Tell them: Reject any budget that cuts Head Start.

Take Action

These cuts aren’t final – and the executive branch doesn’t have the power to make these budget changes on its own. Only Congress can make these kinds of changes to federal funding. That’s why it’s crucial for us to reach out to Congress now to make sure they know these cuts are unacceptable.

Our care systems are connected. When one is under attack, the whole system shakes. If Congress allows Head Start cuts to go through, millions of families will be left to figure out child care on their own.

This proposed cut is another direct attack on the care infrastructure we all depend on — and it targets the most vulnerable among us.

Let’s speak out and protect care — for our kids, our families, and ourselves.

With care,
