Last night I went on MSNBC, where I talked with Rachel Maddow about Pete Hegseth sharing sensitive military plans with his family members in a SECOND Signal chat on his private phone.

If a normal military or CIA officer had let this sensitive information get out – while our jets were in the air, I might add – they would be fired immediately. Why does Hegseth think the rules don’t apply to him? Utter arrogance.

The reality is that Pete Hegseth is putting our armed forces in harm’s way. He’s undermining the confidence from our allies across the world. He’s deteriorating our intelligence community.

He’s making our country less safe.

Unlike my Republican colleagues who have failed to find their voice and call out this sloppy, dangerous, incompetence, I won’t hesitate to hold Hegseth and the Trump administration accountable.
