The 2026 coordinated grant application funding cycle opens soon. This year’s coordinated grant application funding cycle for capital projects will provide funding for local affordable housing, facilities, and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) services.

The 2026 coordinated grant cycle includes the following funding sources:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG): Federal funds received annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fund public services, rehabilitation and weatherization of housing; microenterprise programs; public facilities; and infrastructure projects benefiting low and very low-income households and neighborhoods.
  • HOME Investment Partnership (HOME): Federal funds received annually from HUD to fund affordable rental and homeownership housing projects benefiting low and very low-income households.
  • Community Investments in Affordable Housing (CIAH): Funds available through Kitsap County's 1/10th of 1% sales tax for affordable housing acquisition and development.
  • Homeless Housing Services: The Kitsap County Housing and Homelessness Division has several grant programs that provide funding to governments, non-profit agencies, and housing authorities for projects located throughout the county that focus on reducing homelessness. These include Affordable Housing Grant Program (AHGP), Homeless Housing Grant Program (HHGP), and the Consolidated Homeless Grant (CHG).
