Pastors,
Pastoring in this season of political polarization and toxic tribalism
feels like walking a tightrope… during a windstorm… with people yelling at
you from all directions ;-)
That’s why I want to invite you to join me for the *Fall J29 Pastor Cohort
<[link removed]>*—a space created for pastors who are
trying to faithfully disciple their congregations in this age of outrage
*without* getting swept up in culture wars or burned out in the process.
The J29 Coalition <[link removed]>is a growing network of
theologically evangelical pastors who believe the Church can—and
must—reclaim a *kingdom-shaped political imagination*.
I did this cohort last year and it has better equipped me to lead in this
season.

*Training*The training is neither about being apolitical nor
hyper-partisan. Rather, it's about political discipleship -- shepherding
our people to live out the gospel, seek the peace and prosperity of their
cities, and stay faithful to Jesus as they engage in civic life.
Over the course of 10 weeks, participants will engage in *8 online coaching
sessions *with scholars and leaders like Russell Moore, Scot McKnight,
David French, Elizabeth Neumann, and more.
The program is bookended with *two in-person gatherings*: A border trip
(McAllen, TX) and retreat (Chicago, Il).
*Cost & Schedule*Thanks to the support of generous donors, much of the cost
has been subsidized, and we are able to offer this program on a sliding
scale <[link removed]>.
