Happy Earth Day, John! It’s a great day to get outside and enjoy all the beauty that Northwest Indiana has to offer. 

Today is also a reminder that climate change is a real and urgent threat, and it’s up to us to protect the environment for current and future generations.

I was fortunate to grow up swimming in Lake Michigan and hiking at the Indiana Dunes National Park, and I'm committed to preserving Northwest Indiana’s environmental resources. 

That’s why I was proud to support the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate investment in our nation’s history, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, bolster U.S. manufacturing for clean energy efficiency, and support communities harmed by pollution.

I also helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which included investments in clean energy technology, resilience, and clean water access.
