I’m writing to update you on our crucial Earth Day fundraising goal, Climate Champion. 

The support we’ve seen so far has been incredible. This is what Earth Day was always supposed to be: a catalyst for sustained change and climate action. And you’re making it happen. 

The reality of the climate crisis is that it’s here now. We’re living it, and communities across the world see its true impacts every day. No government can deny reality forever, but until they stop buying in to Big Oil’s lies, we’ll continue to be there holding them accountable and pushing progress towards a clean energy future forward. Right now, we need your help to build on our momentum. 

Our Earth Day deadline is tonight, Climate Champion, and we’re still falling short of our ambitious $100,000 goal. Right now, every gift will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, until we hit the first $50,000 of our critical goal. Can we count on you to double your impact on our work with a gift of $10 or more?

As the climate crisis grows in scope and severity, so too do the dangers of inaction. Our movement must pick up the pieces of climate leadership at home. A safe and sustainable future depends on our ability to turn our hope into action and end the era of fossil fuels.  

We still have time to turn this around. But we have to be bold, and we have to act now.  

My time in the climate movement has shown me that we have the ability to do what needs to be done. I’ve seen the power of grassroots organizing at work.
