The Brook Mining Co. LLC of Ranchester, Wyoming has filed a mining permit renewal application with the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for the mining of coal in Sheridan County, Wyoming. The Brook Mine permit area is located approximately 8 miles Northwest of Sheridan, Wyoming and 6 miles East of Ranchester, Wyoming. The application may be viewed at the Cheyenne or Sheridan Office of the Land Quality Division. The application will be readvertised for public comment prior to approval by the Department of Environmental Quality.
