Dear Supporter,

The Trump Administration, Elon Musk and his “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) have put a large bull’s eye on Social Security and Medicare because they believe that’s where there are trillions of dollars they can use for their “priorities” — even though that is your money.

Already, they’ve chipped away at the Social Security Administration (SSA) by slashing its workforce and planning to close offices and they are proposing massive cuts to Medicaid, which help seniors afford long-term care and supportive services. But GOP leaders need to find trillions in “savings” to pay for a $7 trillion extension of tax cuts mainly benefitting millionaires, billionaires and huge, profitable corporations.

Supporter, that’s why the National Committee wants to know your opinion:

Do you believe the Trump Administration and GOP leaders in Congress will turn to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to pay for their $7 trillion tax cut package for the wealthy? ( [link removed] )

The key to protecting benefits has always been for those who rely most on these programs to have a voice in the debate. Since 1982, the National Committee has brought in millions of older Americans to do the job. And now it’s up to our members and supporters to stay actively involved in staving off growing threats to earned benefits.

We can protect Social Security and Medicare and keep them solvent for the future without cutting benefits for millions of Americans if we organize, mobilize and make our voices heard on Capitol Hill.

As someone with a personal stake in these critical programs, I am asking for your feedback ( [link removed] ) on this issue ASAP. So please take our poll today ( [link removed] ) so we can continue to represent your voice in Washington on time sensitive issues like this.

Sincerely,

Dan Adcock
Director of Government Relations & Policy
