Environment Colorado Earth Day 2025 Drive

John,

Towering, dense swaths of trees -- or torn earth and tree stumps?
Lush, flourishing wildlife habitat -- or a new logging road?
Our planet's largest intact forest -- or slightly softer toilet paper?

We know what we'd choose. But some choose differently. That's why the boreal forest is disappearing at a rate of three football fields every single minute, in large part due to logging companies toppling trees to sell them to companies that make disposable paper products like toilet paper.1

This Earth Day, we're working to protect the boreal forest and the creatures who call it home. If you donate before midnight tonight, every dollar will be matched, up to $50,000 nationwide. Will you donate today to protect the boreal from logging?

We're working to keep logging out of the boreal and protect our earth's lungs. Donate before midnight and your donation will go twice as far, up to $50,000.

Will you double your impact for the boreal by donating before midnight tonight?

It's difficult to put into words the incredible value of this once-pristine, 1.5-billion acre ecosystem. From the millions of tons of carbon it stores in its soil to the treetop haven it provides for 3 billion migrating birds, the boreal provides countless benefits to wildlife and humans alike.2,3

And beyond its utility, a place like the boreal -- where trees have been standing for 200 years, and breathtaking woodland vistas stretch in every direction -- deserves our protection simply because it's one of the ecosystems that makes our planet the amazing place it is.

Make our work to protect the boreal possible. Make a donation this Earth Day.

Thank you,

Ellen Montgomery

Your donation will be used to support all of our campaigns to protect the environment, from saving the bees and protecting public lands, to standing up for clean water and fighting climate change. None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. Environment Colorado may transfer up to $50 per dues-paying member per year into the Environment Colorado Small Donor Committee.
