It’s been 100 days since Republicans and President Trump took control of Congress and the White House. We’ve delivered meaningful results for American families by securing our border, safeguarding our elections, and reigning in spending. Here are some of ways we moved America forward these past few months.
Securing our Border
One of the most significant achievements of the last 100 days has been the dramatic reduction in illegal border crossings. Under President Trump’s leadership, the U.S. is seeing the lowest levels of illegal immigration in over a decade.
Our strengthened border security measures, including increased funding for border enforcement and construction of the border wall, are having a real impact. In March, just 7,181 illegal aliens were apprehended at the southern border. That’s a 95% reduction compared to March of 2024, when Joe Biden allowed that number to reach over 137,000.
In addition, the administration’s focus on pursuing criminal illegal aliens has resulted in a doubling of the arrest of criminal illegal aliens, including removing more than 120 repeat offendersin March of this year.
These efforts are not only ensuring the safety of American citizens, but are also protecting our economy from the strain of illegal immigration. As Congress works on the upcoming budget, I will continue to prioritize securing our border and supporting the men and women of border patrol.
Safeguarding our Elections
It should be easy to vote and hard to cheat. That’s why I’ve worked hard in Congress to ensure safe and secure elections and to restore trust in our system.
Earlier this month, the House voted to pass the SAVE Act. This strong election integrity measure ensures that only U.S. citizens are voting in our elections by requiring proof of citizenship and strengthening voter ID standards. I was proud to lead this effort and support President Trump’s executive order on election integrity from earlier this year.
I’ve also continued my investigation into potential fraud and abuse in left-wing fundraising platforms like ActBlue and partnered with Jim Jordan to hold any bad actors accountable. We’ve already seen ActBlue employees leave the company amid our Congressional investigations into fraud, foreign contributions, and potential ties to terrorism.
I look forward to sharing updates on our important work in the coming weeks.
Reigning in Government
Congress is already working to craft a budget that will reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in Washington while protecting important programs like Medicare and Social Security. We have already identified wasteful spending and onerous regulations that cost American families thousands of dollars.
As part of this work, I’m dedicated to ensuring that Congress acts to prevent a $4.5 trillion tax increase on American families. At a time when Wisconsin families are still struggling from the devastating fallout of Bidenomics, they should not have to worry the federal government increasing their taxes to fund waste, fraud, and abuse.
