Public comment opening for Game and Fish regulation updates

CHEYENNE — Game and Fish will host public meetings throughout the state to present and discuss these regulation proposals. Online comments for the regulations are also being accepted through 5 p.m. June 10. Game and Fish biologists and game wardens will be available to answer questions and discuss the regulation proposals during these meetings.


Game and Fish proposes six instream flow water rights to protect native trout

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking instream flow water rights for segments of six streams in the Bighorn National Forest. All segments are entirely on U.S. Forest Service lands in the Game and Fish’s Cody Region. The proposed water rights are important to maintaining populations of Yellowstone cutthroat trout in their native range.


Deadline to submit comment for Sublette antelope migration corridor May 2

CHEYENNE — Wyoming Game and Fish Department wildlife managers are moving forward in the designation process for the Sublette antelope migration corridor.Game and Fish held meetings last month in western Wyoming to discuss the identified migration corridor and biological risk assessment. 


Commercial Fishing Advisory Board to hold first meeting in May

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Commercial Fishing Boat Advisory Board will have its first meeting at 9 a.m. May 1  at Game and Fish Headquarters, 5400 Bishop Blvd., in Cheyenne.
