Join Girls For A Change for our annual Black Girl Showcase, a vibrant celebration of the creativity, brilliance, and boldness of the girls who participated in our programs this year.
This event will highlight powerful student projects, celebrate community leaders, and bring local businesses and changemakers together for an afternoon of learning, joy, and support.
Fireside Chat
During our fireside chat, Nikki Porcher, Founder of Buy from a Black Woman, will join Sistah Angela Patton, CEO of Girls For A Change and Co-Director of Daughters to explore the power of entrepreneurship, leadership, and community impact. We're looking forward to meaningful dialogue, shared wisdom, and celebrating Black women who lead with purpose.

Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Credits
|
|
Girls For A Change is an approved non-profit organization for the 2025-26
Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). For a minimum gift of $500, an individual donor may be eligible to receive a 65% tax credit against his or her Virginia state income tax. The maximum allowable individual gift is $125,000. For businesses: $616 is the minimum donation eligible for tax credits in their taxable year. There is no maximum donation limitation for businesses.
Unlike a tax deduction, a tax credit reduces a donor’s tax bill dollar-for-dollar. For example, a $2,000 donation to Girls For A Change using this program would generate $1,300 in tax credits, so the donation would only “cost” the donor $700. When the tax credits are combined with the federal charitable deduction, the donation “cost” lowers even further.
To learn how to make a NAP Tax credit gift, please email Dani Brown at [email protected] or call (804) 405-2827
Please consult your financial advisor before making a donation, as we are not authorized to offer tax advice.
