Dear Advocates,

We’re thrilled to share that we successfully wrapped up Sudan Advocacy Week, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and energy of our incredible volunteers and supporters like you.

Over the past week, more than 20 volunteers met with over 46 lawmakers across both parties to advocate for urgent action to address the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Our Sudanese volunteers courageously shared powerful stories of growing up in al-Fashir, Zamzam Camp, and other parts of Darfur, recounting what they were forced to endure and how the violence has impacted their lives. Together, we urged lawmakers to step up for Sudan and pushed for support for three key pieces of legislation:

Our meetings focused on urging Congress to deepen U.S. engagement, scale up humanitarian efforts, and promote justice and accountability for the Sudanese. Thanks to your support, momentum is building, but there is still much more work to be done.

Want to stay engaged?

We invite you to join us for a virtual webinar today, Monday, 21 April, from 3–4 PM EST. We'll reflect on the lessons learned from the historic 2003 Save Darfur Campaign and discuss how we can apply them to today's movement for Sudan.

Your voice matters. Let’s keep the pressure on and continue standing in solidarity with the people of Sudan.

Thank you again for your commitment and action.

In solidarity,
