CSVANW Advocate of the Month

April 2025

Every month, we honor advocates whose compassion, strength, and commitment drive the movement to end violence against Native women, children, and communities. By leading with culture and tradition, they uplift communities and create lasting change through education, prevention, and support.

This April, we’re proud to recognize Kelia Yanito (Diné) of Nambé Pueblo Healthy Families Services as our Advocate of the Month. Her work is a beautiful reflection of what it means to lead with love and purpose. Please join us in celebrating her!

Denim Day is on April 30, 2025, a powerful day of solidarity against sexual violence.

Wearing denim is a statement that survivors deserve to be believed and supported. As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), Denim Day reminds us that what someone wears is never an excuse for sexual violence
