Environment Colorado Earth Day 2025 Drive

John,

From the Pike and San Isabel National Forests to the Tongass National Forest, our mature and old-growth forests are on the chopping block. Up to 112 million acres of national forests could be opened to increased timber production.1

Our oldest trees should be treasured, not sold off to the logging industry.

We're defending our forests from being chopped down to stumps. And from now until the end of our Earth Day 2025 Drive, your gift for our forests will be matched, up to $50,000 nationwide.

Donate before midnight tomorrow and your gift will be matched, dollar for dollar.

The trees that make up our old-growth forests are some of the oldest living things on Earth. They provide crucial habitat for thousands of species, limitless opportunities for recreation, exploration and wonder.

But too many of these magnificent forests are being threatened by commercial logging, and Environment Colorado is working on multiple fronts to help defend them.

Here's what your donation will help us continue to do:

  • Save the North American boreal forest, the largest intact forest in the world. We're urging Costco to pledge not to sell toilet paper made from wood sourced from this amazing ecosystem.2 Match my gift>>
  • Stop the so-called "Fix Our Forests Act," an anti-forest bill just introduced in the Senate that would fast-track the reckless logging of our forests under the guise of preventing wildfires.3 Match my gift>>
  • Preserve 800,000 acres of national forests in the Pacific Northwest, which are threatened by proposed revisions to the Northwest Forest Plan that could double or even triple the amount of commercial logging in the region.4 Match my gift>>
  • Defend the Tongass National Forest, America's largest national forest, from efforts by the logging industry to open up currently protected old-growth and roadless areas.5 Match my gift>>

We've already lost far too much of our country's forests to logging and development. It's critical that we protect what's left -- and if you donate right now to our Earth Day 2025 Drive, your gift will be automatically doubled.

Every dollar you give unlocks another dollar to help save our forests. If you give $5, we'll get $10. If you give $50, we'll get $100.

This is an incredible opportunity to double your impact and help protect the last remaining precious forests that we have left. Donate to our Earth Day 2025 Drive before midnight tomorrow and your gift will be matched, up to $50,000 nationwide.

Thank you,

Ellen Montgomery
