Trump Administration Celebrates Easter Sunday
Washington Examiner: President Donald Trump rang in Easter Sunday with a video message for Christians. Trump told the brief story behind the biblical holiday centered on Jesus Christ, who was crucified on a cross and then rose from the dead. The president referred to the event as proof of God’s “boundless love” for people while also giving them the “promise of everlasting life.” As a Christian himself, Trump made the proclamation, as other believers do, that “He is risen” ( Washington Examiner). Charlie Kirk: President Trump’s Easter message from the Oval office: “America is a nation of believers. We need God. We want God. And with his help, we will make our nation stronger, safer, greater, and more prosperous and much more united than ever before. Thank you to everyone and have a really happy Easter” ( X).

Anti-Christian Drag Queen Group Hosts Annual Easter Event to Mock Believers
Post Millennial: The anti-Christian, San Francisco-based drag queen group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is once again drawing backlash, this time for its annual Easter event, which openly mocks Christianity as well as promotes transgender ideology to children. This year’s event, titled “No Easter Without the T,” features an Easter egg hunt for kids, alongside a drag-themed costume contest encouraging attendees to dress as “Hunky Jesus” and “Foxy Mary” ( Post Millennial). Catholic Vote: Absolutely sickening. This blasphemy cannot stand ( X).

Marco Rubio Says We May Need to Move On from Negotiating Peace Between Russia, Ukraine If No Progress Shows in Coming Days
Salem News Channel: Secretary of State Rubio warns the U.S. could drop Russia-Ukraine peace efforts if there’s no progress soon. Following talks in Paris, Rubio said the U.S. may “move on” from trying to end the Russia-Ukraine war if progress isn’t made in the coming days ( Salem News Channel). National Review: Getting Russia to the negotiating table has been a challenge for the Trump administration. Despite President Trump offering concessions, Vladimir Putin has not been persuaded to give up his military ambitions for Ukraine. However, Trump’s trade war has sent oil prices plunging, which has handicapped Russia’s ability to fund its war given the outsized role crude prices play in the regime’s federal budget. With its shaky credit record, Russia also may not be able to compensate for the shortfall by borrowing money, having already defaulted on some of its foreign debt back in June 2022. The Russian war machine can’t run without steady oil and gas revenues ( National Review).

Supreme Court Pauses Trump’s Use of the Alien Enemies Act
Townhall: In a significant blow to the safety of American citizens and the country’s national security, the U.S. Supreme Court halted the Trump administration’s efforts to pursue deportation flights of illegal immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act, arguing that the use of this 18th-century wartime law was unconstitutional. On Saturday, U.S. Supreme Court Justices ordered the Trump administration not to remove Venezuelans held in Texas’s Bluebonnet Detention Center “until further order of this court.” Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the majority opinion. The high court’s ruling follows a last-ditch attempt by the American Civil Liberties Union to halt the federal government’s renewed use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport illegal immigrants. The ACLU is representing suspected Tren de Aragua gang members being detained in Texas ( Townhall).

China Threatens to Withold Medical Supplies from the U.S.
HotAir: China has a death grip on our medical supplies and consequently our ability to survive. It is the sole manufacturer of one hundred medications we commonly use, including antibiotics and blood thinners, and is the largest supplier of nitrate gloves, masks, syringes and other medical equipment essential in hospitals. China has threatened to weaponize its monopoly on these supplies to throw our hospitals into chaos, stress us in our death beds, and watch us suffer. When your enemy issues a threat like that, believe it… Now, in the trade war with the United States, cutting off medical supplies is possibly China’s next move, and we are not ready ( HotAir). Washington Post: China processes almost all the world’s rare earths, a group of 17 metals used in a wide array of products in the defense, health-care and technology sectors. But as part of its retaliation against escalating U.S. tariffs, Beijing this month restricted the export of several rare earth minerals, raising the risk that U.S. industries will face shortages… The U.S. imports a large — and increasing — swath of Chinese medical goods, including antibiotics, pain relievers and bandages, as well as precursor chemicals required to make finished drugs. Chinese pharmaceutical exports to the United States grew 11 percent in 2024 to reach $19 billion ( Washington Post).

Trump Begins Withdrawing Troops from Syria
Hill: The U.S. military is withdrawing hundreds of troops from Syria, a shift the Pentagon is framing as a “consolidation” that reflects the changing security environment in the country ( Hill). Townhall: President Donald Trump has long been critical of the U.S. military presence in Syria, calling into question the need for continued American involvement in the region. In 2018, he pushed to withdraw U.S. troops, but faced strong resistance from Pentagon officials who argued that pulling out would leave the Syrian Democratic Forces. This Kurdish-led militia had been instrumental in the fight against ISIS, but was vulnerable to attack. Despite this, Trump ultimately left a reduced force in Syria, prioritizing the defeat of ISIS while also responding to concerns about America’s role in the conflict ( Townhall).

DNC Vice Chair David Hogg Blames Democracy for School Shootings, Climate Change
Eric Daugherty: WHOA… DNC Vice Chair David Hogg, the party’s new face, issues stunning new statement on “democracy.” “Democracy is what put us through school shooter drills and schools shootings. It’s what’s put us through the climate crisis and so much more” ( X). David Strom: To be clear, Hogg isn’t calling for an autocracy per se. He just wants to abandon democratic principles when they don’t give leftists what they want. No doubt he would be perfectly happy to live with a “democratic” mode of government as long as it produces the results he and his cohort want. Sort of like the Cuban or Venezuelan system of government, in which elections take place with predetermined outcomes ( HotAir).

MSNBC Analyst Claims Trump Wants to Deport Black People Next
Daily Wire: MSNBC anchor Symone Sanders claimed on Saturday that the deportation of Salvadoran citizen and suspected MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego-Garcia was just one step on the road toward President Donald Trump’s administration deporting black American citizens. Sanders began with an article written for The Nation earlier in the week — in which the author had suggested the deportation of criminal aliens, designated terrorists, and gang members effectively heralded the fall of democracy in the United States — and argued that “people of color and vulnerable communities … are next in line” ( Daily Wire). Tom Elliot: MSNBC’s Symone Sanders on Kilmar Garcia’s deportation: Black people “are next in line” ( X).

LeBron James Reveals Kamala Harris Paid Him $50,000 for His Endorsement
Townhall: In a new revelation, LeBron James claimed his endorsement of Kamala Harris was about securing a better future for his kids. Still, reports now reveal he was paid for the post, raising serious questions about the authenticity of celebrity political endorsements. While he portrayed his support as personal and heartfelt, the financial arrangement behind it suggests his campaign message may have been more transactional than principled, reinforcing skepticism about Hollywood’s influence on American politics. According to newly released campaign finance records, Kamala Harris’s campaign paid LeBron James’ production company, SpringHill Entertainment LLC, $50,000 on January 28, 2025, just after his viral endorsement post. The payment, labeled “campaign event production,” was part of Harris’s disastrous $1.5 billion presidential bid ( Townhall).
