Dear Friend,

Across our communities, working people are rising up. On May 1st, we're taking a historic stand against corporations and billionaires who put profits over people.

JOIN THE MAY DAY NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

On May 1, 2025, people in over 100 cities will unite to honor the legacy of workers who fought for the eight-hour work day—and bring that same determination to today's fight for a country where we can all get ahead.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

The rich and powerful have always tried to control us - selecting scapegoats to blame to turn us against each other. Today, they're attacking immigrant families, gutting healthcare, defunding schools, and crushing unions—all to hoard more wealth. These politicians want us divided, pointing fingers at each other instead of at them. But we know better. We know our work moves this country forward.

OUR UNIFIED DEMANDS:

  • Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.

  • Protect and Defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs working people rely on.

  • Fully funded schools, healthcare, and housing for all.

  • Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, Indigenous, trans people, and other communities.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN JOIN US:

  • Rally with us on May 1st at 9:00 AM at the Arizona Capitol (marching to the Sandra Day O’Connor United States Courthouse).

    • SIGN UP HERE: bit.ly/PHXMayDay

    • Bring signs and your passion for justice

  • Share your story of why you're joining the movement on your own social media or email accounts

  • Spread the word and invite friends, family, and coworkers

When we've united in the past, we've won. We took down SB1070. We've protected worker rights. We've shown that people power is greater than money power.

On May 1st, we’re calling for a more just world —one where working families lead, immigrants are protected, and healthcare is a right for all. Together, we can change our futures.

In solidarity and strength,

Lisa
