John,
Since the start of his second term, Trump has waged attacks designed to roll back the progress we've made in the fight to end gun violence.
-
Trump eliminated the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
- Trump erased critical public health data on gun violence from federal websites.
-
And earlier this month, Trump directed the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to terminate its zero-tolerance policy, which risks letting negligent firearm dealers off the hook.
These moves make clear that the Trump administration has failed to prioritize your families' safety, and we cannot afford to run the risk of waiting for action from Washington.
That’s why the Alliance for Gun Responsibility is fighting harder than ever at the state level — where real change is still possible, and where we have a proven track record of success.
And the winnable fights we're waging in the states are for our effective, commonsense policies like keeping firearms away from dangerous people and out of public spaces like parks and playgrounds, updating our background check system, mandating firearm safety and training and advocating for investments in community-based solutions.
But we want to know what you think.
Take our one-minute survey to tell us which gun violence prevention priorities matter most to you.
Your voice will help shape our next steps — and ensure we’re fighting for the solutions our communities urgently need.
Together, we can move forward — even when Washington tries to drag us back.
Thank you for being in this fight with us,
The Alliance
