Dear John,
On this holy day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the profound significance of the Easter season. It has been a time to remember the immense love and sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, which leads to today's joyous celebration of His resurrection.
The Holy Week now passed encouraged us to meditate on the journey that led to the crucifixion, followed by the glorious triumph over death today. This powerful story of redemption and hope serves as a reminder of the eternal promise of new life that we are blessed to share.
As we wait for the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I’m reminded of His words on the Mount of Olives:
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:9-14)
Let’s stand firm and persevere in our fight for the human dignity of all people! Let us rise above all fears, doubts, partisanship, and stumbling blocks as we continue to remain focused on the path ahead. Let us move forward with compassion, confidence, and absolute faith that, despite the challenges we face, our Heavenly Father has defeated death and that we will ultimately win in the cause for life.
As we gather with family and friends on this holy day, let’s cherish the moments we have and spread the message of love and compassion that Christ exemplified. May we find strength in our faith and rejoice together in the miracle of the resurrection.
Wishing you a blessed Easter filled with peace, joy, and the love of Christ.
Blessings,
