Good morning and happy Easter.
May you celebrate this day in the manner that means the most to you.
It's getting quite warm in our part of North Carolina, and the courtyard here is in full bloom with roses, rhododendrons, azaleas, and dogwood trees. We have irises and tulips too, and the birds seem just as happy about all this as we do. Yesterday, we opened the sunroof and rolled down the windows of the car, then went for a little spring drive with loud music and the wind in our hair. It was wonderful.
I wanted to thank you for so many kind words after my email last week. There were some excellent suggestions, and I received so much encouragement. Your support means the world to me.
Someone raised an interesting point in the comments of Haven Hill's most recent chapter. I'll try and do this without spoilers. Kate, our heroine, surrenders her gun when she feels taking a shot would endanger her daughter. I know that I'd never want to take that shot with a child so nearby. I'd love to hear what you think in the comments section of the story. You guys help me make my stories more realistic with your input!
I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the medications we get from China. First, I hate that we get medications from China at all. But secondly, I'm very worried we're going to see shortages of both prescription and OTC meds. For that reason, I've put our Herbal Skills Intensive course on sale for 75% off this weekend. I think it's incredibly important we learn to manage things with local ingredients if at all possible, because one day we may not have a choice. I'd also recommend stocking up on over-the-counter medical supplies because many of these are also imported.
I believe there are even rougher economic times ahead, but this is what we prep for. I know that we will get through these hard times to enjoy a more prosperous and secure country in the future.
Have a wonderful day today, filled with the company of the ones you love.
Stay safe.
Be happy.
Love,
Daisy
