Yesterday, voters in Georgia’s primary were met with long lines, malfunctioning voting machines and a shortage of provisional ballots. And it wasn’t just incompetence on the part of the state’s Republican leadership. It was voter suppression, plain and simple.
Georgia Republicans will stop at nothing to hold onto power—yesterday’s fiasco was just the latest example.
So I need you to stop what you’re doing—right now—and make a contribution to Reverend Raphael Warnock’s Senate campaign in Georgia. We MUST ensure he can build the infrastructure to fight voter suppression and flip this seat (and the Senate) in November. [[link removed]]
As senior pastor at Martin Luther King Jr.’s Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Rev. Warnock has long been a servant leader and community activist in his state. If elected, he would be the first Black Senator from Georgia.
And just yesterday, The New York Times reported that 2020 could be the year Georgia turns blue. We can make history together in Georgia—but we have to put in the work.
Please, invest in this race. Invest in Rev. Warnock’s leadership. Here’s a link to give: secure.actblue.com/donate/ots_warnock [[link removed]]
With gratitude,
Kirsten
