After being in Congress for a little over three months, it couldn’t be more clear that some of my colleagues (specifically, the Trump/Elon loyalists) have lost sight of what we’re really doing here and who this work is really about.

Being in Congress is sure as hell NOT about kissing the ring and bowing down to a wannabe King… despite what the MAGA extremists may think.

To me, serving in Congress is about fighting to pass down a better world for families like yours and mine.
 

  It’s about ensuring that my daughter and yours can grow up with more rights, not less, than the women that came before them.

It’s about ensuring that our kids and grandkids can actually afford to buy a house someday.

It’s about ensuring our kids and grandkids have a sustainable, habitable planet to call home.

It’s about ensuring that the seniors in our lives can retire with dignity and access their hard-earned Social Security benefits.

It’s about ensuring that, no matter what, every family has access to affordable, high quality health care.

It’s about ensuring that the country we love can survive as a democracy, where the values of liberty and freedom remain at the fabric of who we are as a nation.

So look: We’re living in unprecedented times. (I know I don’t need to tell you that!) But you can count on the fact that I'll show up to work, every single day, focused on how I can create a better future for families like yours and mine.
