Good news, John:For the first time ever, clean energy production beat fossil fuels last month on the U.S. energy grid!
Although this administration has been relentless in its attacks on renewable energy, this historic moment is a testament to how far we’ve come in the U.S. transition to clean energy.

Just one decade ago, fossil fuels made up nearly two-thirds of energy generation in the U.S. But years of building solar and wind power infrastructure have laid the groundwork for the beginning of our clean energy future!
Over the past few decades, the cost of solar and wind power has continued to decline, compared to fossil fuels. Not only does it make environmental sense to invest in the green energy transition, but it makes economic sense too.
Clean energy is the future – it doesn’t contribute to harmful CO2 emissions and makes sure that you save on your monthly energy bill.
The clean energy transition isn’t stopping anytime soon, but there is still so much work to be done. Clean energy beat fossil fuels in March due to sunnier skies and higher wind speeds, but we need a world where clean energy beats fossil fuels all year round.
Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
