Dear John,
If you haven’t yet registered for Friday’s Lunch and Learn with Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, I hope you’ll plan to join us. RSVP here >> [[link removed]]
We’re delighted to partner with our allies at the League of Women Voters of Maine, Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund, Gateway Community Services Maine, RepresentUS, Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition, and the ACLU of Maine on this important presentation.
Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap will be joined by Lewiston City Clerk Kathy Montejo to discuss what you need to know about the July 14th primary and voting in Maine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This election season may be the most important of our lifetime and the choices we make this July and November at every level will steer how we address systemic racism and the climate crisis in the years to come.
We're also contending with a global pandemic that could have serious consequences for voter turnout and Mainers' ability to exercise their fundamental right to cast a ballot. In order to make sure that as many voters participate this year, we need more people to vote by absentee ballot, ensuring in-person voting locations remain safe and accessible for those who need it.
If you have not already pledged to vote absentee, please do so here [[link removed]] .
We hope to see you on Friday!
Beth
