Trump signed an executive order to shut down agencies responsible for supporting our libraries and museums!
I need 10,000 fearless fighters to stand with librarians before 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Friend, I still remember the smell of the books. The way the light filtered in through the windows. The quiet hum of a public space filled with possibility.
|
This time spent browsing my community’s libraries was the hallmark of my childhood growing up in Brooklyn. Libraries gave me a place to dream, to study, to learn. They helped make me the leader I am today.
|
That’s why, when I saw the Trump administration try to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services – the agency that funds libraries and museums across the country – I knew what it meant for New York’s kids.
|
Twenty attorneys general from around the country and I have filed a federal lawsuit to stop the Trump administration because this fight is about so much more than just buildings full of books. It’s about supporting workers nationwide, providing funding to help minority-owned businesses, and making sure our libraries and museums stay open so children can engage in lifelong learning.
|
I’m doing everything I can to stop this administration. But to do that, I need you with me in this critical fight.
I’m counting on 10,000 fearless fighters to sign my petition in support of our libraries and museums – including YOU, friend. Will you join me by adding your name before midnight?

Let’s stand together for libraries, museums, and the power of public learning.

With so many tough and crucial fights ahead, I am counting on people like you to fuel my fight for justice, progress, and true equality. Will you make a monthly donation to make sure I can continue using the full power of the Attorney General's office to make a difference for everyday people and families?
