:
John,
Every bit of plastic we throw away could pollute the planet for centuries. Most forms of plastic take hundreds of years to degrade.
The result? As waste continues to grow out of control, more and more of our planet is disappearing under piles of plastic pollution. If we want future generations to inherit the same beautiful environment we grew up with, we need to stem the tide of plastic pollution now.
It's Earth Day this coming Tuesday, and to celebrate, PIRG is making a big push to put our planet over plastic.
We're raising $25,000 by midnight April 22 to stop waste, cut the most polluting forms of plastic, and more -- but we need your support. Will you donate?

Solving the plastic pollution problem won't be easy, but PIRG's team of experienced researchers and advocates have what it takes to make a real difference. We have decades of experience finding real, common-sense solutions to issues that affect our daily lives.
But it's supporters like you that truly make all our work possible, John.
Donate before the deadline on Earth Day to help build a future beyond plastic.

None of our work would be possible without the support of people just like you.
