FEC filings are pouring in first, and there’s usually not much to say, but something really caught my eye:

As part of their fundraising, my opponent donated a firearm to be auctioned off to their most ardent supporters -- or whoever wants a gun.

This is about as out-of-touch as it gets, folks.

The right to safe gun ownership is something we take very seriously here in our district. But this is anything but responsible or safe. Mass shootings are now a routine occurrence in this country, and it’s treating weapons as toys for a raffle that has gotten us here.

This is EXACTLY the type of thing that makes keeping this seat and flipping Congress so important. Our only shot at serious, safe reform is with Democratic lawmakers at every level.

But if we're going to make that a reality and save lives, we'll need widespread, public support to do it.
