Email from Tarrant County Republican Party Plus leftist professor arrested and placed on leave Contribute Today to Elect Republicans UTA Students Deported The attention that we're bringing to leftism at DFW schools is working, as the Trump Administration has now turned its attention to our local universities. This week, dozens of students from UT Arlington, UNT, and UT Dallas were deported by the Trump Administration. All of these students were connected to Palestinian anti-Israel protests. Among Texas universities, UT Arlington has the third-highest population of foreign students. The pro-Palestine, anti-Israel movement is very strong there, making it a strong candidate for further action by the President. UTA Arlington has its own "Students for Justice in Palestine" chapter, with over 800 followers on their Instagram page, as well as an old account with almost 2,000 followers. They advertise for events like the UTA "Week of Rage" and "Grand Iftar." The anti-Israel activism goes far deeper than just a few foreign students. Even a host of faculty at the school are deeply embedded in the movement, as we'll get to later. Remember, these students are not Americans. They are here at America's invitation, and America has the right to revoke that invitation. Texas House Celebrates Abortion? This week, Texas House leadership was set to pass a memorial resolution commemorating former President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards. This is bad enough on its own, but the resolution also came after Representative Jared Patterson refused to allow another memorial resolution to honor GOP activist Jill Glover. Conservatives rallied to stop the Planned Parenthood resolution. Our own Tarrant County representatives, Nate Schatzline, Tony Tinderholt, and David Lowe, led the effort alongside a dozen other Republicans. After several hours of debate, they were successful, despite Speaker Burrows and other Republicans attempting to stop them and to pass the Planned Parenthood resolution. But this doesn't mean that Dustin Burrows and Jared Patterson won't try it again. In a Texas House where conservative members are rarely given the opportunity to speak, this win should be celebrated. For Speaker Dustin Burrows, the optics of this are even more confusing. Less than 12 hours after President Trump congratulated Burrows for passing school choice, he chose to die on the hill of honoring Planned Parenthood. This is another example of how much Texas House leadership is sold out to the Democrats. You can read more about that here. Palestine Professor on Leave Back to UT Arlington: one of the most notorious leftist activist professors, Charles Hermes, has been placed on leave by the school. Hermes has been arrested multiple times, including for the aforementioned Palestinian protest in 2024, as well as for disrupting Commissioners' Court meetings on multiple occasions. This is a step in the right direction. If you aren't familiar with Hermes, he's been arrested for protesting on UTA's campus and at least three other times for disrupting the Court. One arrest stemmed from a confrontation with a pro-life activist during a pro-abortion rally. It seems like the pressure is working. Between the deportations, and finally taking action against leftist professors like Hermes, we may finally see progress made to fix these leftist indoctrination centers in our county. We have to keep pushing. You can read more about Hermes here. Elections Next Week Early voting will begin for our local elections this coming Tuesday. We've taken the unprecedented action of making endorsements through the county party, and the state party has backed up our endorsements with their own for our candidates. We've been reaching out to conservative voters in these districts and will continue to do so throughout early voting. These races may be technically non-partisan, but we all know this isn't true. The thesis is simple. Local elections have around 7% turnout. If we can get the conservatives who support Donald Trump and the Republican Party to vote in these elections, we will be unstoppable. Please get out and vote this Tuesday, and remind your friends and family to do the same! You can find our list of endorsements HERE. The list of polling locations and the early voting schedule can be found HERE. Share The Roundup with Friends!
