I responded directly to some of the criticism we’ve been hearing about our plans.
Old guard Democrats have been speaking out, saying that we’re wasting our time challenging Democrats and that we should only focus on unseating Republicans.
First of all, just take a look at the results of the last election. Many of these same establishment figures are the same ones who brought us to where we are today.
This isn’t personal – it’s a strategic disagreement. We believe that every Democrat should be standing up and fighting Trump and the MAGA agenda with everything they’ve got, but too many of them are simply failing to meet the moment right now.
This isn’t “out with the old and in with the new.” It’s about replacing the ineffective politicians with leaders who will fight like hell for our democracy against Trumpism.
I also want to be very clear about something: Not every older politician needs to be replaced. There are plenty of examples of leaders who have been fighting on the front lines for years, like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who aren’t afraid to take on Trump.
But there are just as many older Democrats who are too comfortable in their safe blue seats, who aren’t standing up to fight at this pivotal moment for our country.
Right now, the Democratic Party has a 27% approval rating. We have to change. And the establishment figures criticizing our plan do not have one of their own.
