I had a great time catching up with Santiago Charter Middle School students who participated in SIFMA’s Capitol Hill Challenge to put their investing skills to the test. As we mark Financial Literacy Month, I’m so impressed by these students’ initiative to improve their financial knowledge.
I visited the VITA Clinic at Saint Killian Church in Mission Viejo over the weekend to show my gratitude for their important work to provide free tax assistance ahead of Tax Day. Thank you for all that you do to uplift our community!

I wrote to House leadership this week emphasizing again the importance of Medicaid services. A budget resolution that does not protect vital Medicaid services for the most vulnerable citizens in our community will not receive my vote. I’ve made this clear to my constituents and to House leadership and will continue to do so.
I thank California State University, Dominguez Hills President Dr. Thomas Parham for stopping by last week to update me on CSUDH’s work to uplift our Southern California students. Great to see you!
Wishing all who are observing this Holy Week a blessed Good Friday.
