Friend,
America is broken.
My daughter, Jaime, was murdered in the Parkland school shooting in 2018, along with 16 others. Many of her friends who were lucky enough to survive that shooting went on to attend FSU. There are now dozens of people who are part of TWO school shootings in their lives.
I spent hours yesterday calling families of students at FSU to make sure they were okay. I spoke to kids yesterday who were in the 1200 building at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School and at the Student Union at FSU yesterday.
As a father, all I ever wanted after the Parkland shooting was to help our children be safe. Sadly, because of the many people who refuse to do the right things about reducing gun violence, I am not surprised by what happened yesterday. But it’s why I won’t stop fighting to change this country – and I’m asking you to keep fighting with me.
Send a message to lawmakers and demand they take action to stop school shootings and finally protect our kids. >>

My daughter should be graduating college this year. But instead, she was heinously gunned down in her high school seven years ago. Trump was the president when my daughter was murdered and he didn’t do anything then. Seeing his callous response to this shooting angers me beyond measure because of what he failed to do back then and the fact that he’s been systematically undoing every life-saving measure we passed under President Biden.
Meanwhile, Florida lawmakers are pushing legislation to LOWER the minimum age to obtain a gun and trying to roll back the legislation we passed in the wake of the Parkland shooting. My only thoughts and prayers are that the Republican lawmakers who are leading this effort stand up and say “I was wrong.”
I won’t accept lawmakers willfully ignoring the violent American gun violence epidemic while our kids keep dying. Tell lawmakers to finally take action to stop school shootings. >>

Thank you for stepping up.
