Hello,

Donald Trump has declared the American economic recovery to be in full swing -- insisting that the drop to 13.3% national unemployment means the U.S. economy is a "rocketship" destined for greatness.

But if Trump's economy is a "rocketship," it has taken off without the AAPI community on board.

May's jobs numbers show that Asian American unemployment has held steady at 15%, and AAPI business owners are reporting that government aid isn't making its way to them. Meanwhile, AAPI advocacy groups report over 2,000 incidents of hate directed toward Asian Americans since the start of the crisis

While Donald Trump pats himself on the back, our most vulnerable neighbors are reeling from the fallout of a crisis they had nothing to do with -- but are shouldering the burden for. Helping the AAPI community would require admitting his hypocrisy and his shortcomings, so we can't count on Trump to do it -- instead, for the sake of our fellow Americans, we need to make our voices heard.

If you agree that we must protect the most vulnerable of our neighbors from hate and from economic collapse, if you believe that there is no recovery unless it extends to all, and if you believe that Asian Americans deserve better from their leaders than the toxic rhetoric spewed by Donald Trump, add your name to ours and demand Congress take action to defend the AAPI community, NOW! >> [link removed]

Thank you,
The WDTO Team
