Irving, TX– It was a pleasure meeting our TX-24 Congressional App Challenge winner, Cody Li! Cody created RehabAI, an impressive AI app designed to improve remote rehabilitation, inspired by his grandfather’s stroke recovery journey. He even gave me a live demo, and I couldn’t be more impressed by his innovation! | | On Ways and Means and RSC, where I serve as the Budget Task Force Chair, we are continuously working to ensure that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is extended and we enact further reforms to help working families and small businesses keep more of what they earn! | | Glad to join the Business Coalition for Fair Competition for a roundtable where we had the chance to talk about my work to deliver tax cuts for our hardworking families, small businesses, and job creators. | | Grateful for the opportunity to join the Tax Coalition and speak with such a talented group of women leading the way in federal tax policy. We discussed extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts, reigniting American energy, cutting red tape, and creating the kind of growth and opportunity that works so well for Texans! | | I recently had the chance to join a panel with my colleague Representative Panetta. Although we may be on different sides of the aisle, we work together on the Ways and Means committee and agree tax reforms must help strengthen our economy for all Americans. | | Texas-24 Work of the Week | | This week, I introduced the American Entrepreneurs First Act with Representative Cloud to protect taxpayer dollars and ensure SBA loans go to American citizens and businesses, not foreign nationals or illegal immigrants. | | This week’s TX-24 Hometown Hero is Dr. Brad Hunt! We celebrate his commitment to our schools and thank him for 35 years of service to public education, most of it here in Coppell. | | 2025 Congressional Art Competition | | Each spring, our office hosts the Congressional Art Competition to recognize and encourage the artistic talents of Texas-24 high school students as they compete for an opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the heart of the U.S. Capitol. The deadline to submit artwork for this year’s competition is Friday, April 25, 2025. Learn more by clicking here or on the photo below! | | Congressional Internship Program | |
